Simplicity is often born from necessity. In this case, we wanted to design a table built purely from connected slabs, making it highly producible with minimal waste from leftover parts. Designing from this starting point also provides an interesting angle when it comes to form: a robust, bunker-like look and feel, yet at the same time space-generating and air-permeable because of the deliberate opening in the middle.
Lloyd was named after the great Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the most influential architects in design history, known for blending functionality with organic harmony. His masterpiece Fallingwater exemplifies his belief that architecture should merge with its natural surroundings. In the same spirit, we believe that our stone tables should form a logical and balanced context within the interior design into which they are placed.
You can also choose our LLOYD table with a travertine top, going for the full stone look. Incorporating travertine tables into your home evokes the sacred elegance of ancient temples and the grandeur of palaces. The natural texture of travertine adds history and strength to a space, creating interiors that feel solid and refined.
